RIACT
Reactive Intervention And Crisis Team
Hi, My name is Jeanne Green. I am a committed Social Worker who has had extensive experience of working with Children and Families in different Child Protection and Child in Need Teams since 2007 including young adults 16 to 25 years in Transition Teams. However, since 2019 I have been working with adults and their families in a variety of front line NHS Teams.
The knowledge, skills and understanding, gained over the years, has been mainly due to the diversity as well as the complexity of the people, that I have had the opportunity to work in partnership with. Having worked mainly in Statutory, as well as structured NHS hospital/clinical settings, enables me to work effectively, with individuals with different and complex levels of needs.
I use the dialectic approaches such as mindfulness and CFBT when working with individuals and their families. I have strong work ethics and ensure that risk assessments and planning involve the people I work with as well as their families and that they remain safe by supporting them to manage and minimize the risks proportionately. My approach, is person focused and is needs led engaging with people who can, at times, be non-compliant and possibly overwhelmed with the difficulties or crisis that they are faced with in their lives.
Ensuring that the family are involved and working in partnership them allows appropriate care/recovery plans to be devised and positive outcomes identified as early as possible, in the process, in my view, this helps to build a good rapport with a family in the early stages and has enabled me to develop good working relationships with other allied professionals involved.
This then promotes the recovery and safeguarding process of vulnerable adults including those who are hospitalized and sectioned. During this time I have undertaken a great deal of assessment, reviews and report writing such as Care Act Assessments, Medical reviews, Mental health assessments Mental Capacity Assessments and Risk assessment.
